Most of my photographs begin without much of a plan. I take a camera with me and look for what catches my attention: wildlife, birds, plants, open landscapes, odd details and ordinary places transformed for a moment by light.
I'm drawn to photographs that feel natural rather than perfect. An animal looking back before it disappears. A flower against an empty road. Late light across the bush. Something small that would have been easy to walk straight past.
The subject changes, but the reason for taking the photograph usually doesn't: to hold the way it looked before the moment moved on.
